Here, he can cook in an expansive kitchen, make fresh pastas daily and still build his menu on local ingredients. But that’s not all. He has the space to create a full cocktail menu and offer a lovely wine list, thanks to that wine room.

Joe Simone is a chef, an excellent, classically trained chef. He’s also a charming host. How he does both, there in the tiny open kitchen, is beyond me, but he makes everyone feel as though he’s cooking for them—which of course he is—but just them.
